Blue Bear Baby Shower Cake

If there’s one thing we know, it’s bears. It’s no secret that Yeni’s an arctophile (today’s vocabulary word), which of course means that when we’re working on a Teddy Bear cake at the bakery, it’s going to be a great day.

Close up Teddy Bear

For this cake, the concept was simple: Browns, blues, gift boxes, and a teddy bear. Yeni decided to have the Teddy Bear pushing his way out of the box. Our Teddy Bear, holding on to his baby blanket, not only looked adorable— he’s completely edible.

Baby Shower Cake

This cake, much like most of our Dream Day Cakes®, was completely edible. The gift box (including the top) was pure cake layers and flavored buttercream filling. Covered in our delicious fondant, this baby shower cake didn’t just look good… it screamed to be eaten.

    Hi there
I just love the teddy bear gift box cake!
My friend would love me to do a replication of the cake for her baby shower in the next few months, but I just wanted to get in touch and ask if that is ok?
I’m in Adelaide, Australia so not very close to you.
Was just wondering if you could give me a few pointers to do your cake justice.. I won’t copy it 100% as I don’t feel comfortable doing that, but I would love to be able to do this for my friend.
If you have any tips or advice on how I can get this cake looking so wonderful that would be great!
Also what size cakes did you use?
    Cheers!
    Erin
