Ivory Lace Wedding Cake

A beautiful, local bride visited our Gainesville bakery on a simple mission: create the perfect wedding cake to match her perfect wedding dress. With a vintage, ivory dress detailed in meticulous lace, the wedding cake needed to be elegant, yet detailed.

The bride-to-be truly loved this dress. Her excitement became contagious as she explained the concept of her reception and discussed what she wanted. We love meeting with brides, and the time during the personal tasting flew.

Within minutes, Yeni had taken what our bride had said and sketched a concept– a wedding cake with three tiers of ivory lace and two bottom tiers of solid ivory. Edible pearls to accent each tier with a row of pearls running down the back of the wedding cake (just like on the wedding dress). When the bride smiled, we knew we had designed her cake.

The reception, held at Sweetwater Branch Inn, showcased the vintage feel our bride wanted. Gainesville helped with some beautiful fall weather, and the perfect ivory lace wedding dress met the perfect ivory lace wedding cake.

The lace and pearls looked great and were completely edible.
