We recently enjoyed the honor of baking an anniversary cake for a fantastic couple in Melrose, Florida (just outside of Gainesville). Our bride planned and coordinated this event herself with amazing attention to detail. The result? One of the best events we’ve seen.
The word of the day? Coral. Red Coral. Repeated throughout this anniversary cake, the red coral accented the two-tiered, topsy turvy cake. With layers of both Key Lime cake and Key Lime buttercream, every piece of this cake screamed Florida.
The topper was handcrafted by our bride, herself. It feature the bride and her groom enjoying the Florida life while sailing together.
Although the cake topper was not edible, we loved it. When someone pours their heart into something, it’s immediately recognizable– it also makes working with it an honor.
Cake ready, we loaded up and headed out to Melrose, Florida for delivery. The event was held on the bride’s property with an exquisite lake view. The November weather provided a nice, cool breeze that made for a fantastic evening.
We loved the decoration and the way everything tied together. From the red coral to the burlap, the even just shined. It truly looked amazing. (we just had to share what we saw during the set-up):
Thanks for reading!
We just love sharing some of the cakes we work on to help people celebrate. We’re always honored when someone visits our Gainesville bakery to have us help them celebrate life’s moments– and remember, there is always a reason to celebrate.
Thank you again, and we look forward to sharing more of our work.
