We loved this theme– and yes, it’s as simple as it sounds: Ties and Mustaches. What a great way to celebrate a boy’s birthday! We were honored to celebrate this milestone by creating a custom birthday cake, smash cake, and cupcakes.

Mustache Tie Cake

Incorporating the tradition boy’s color of blue, this fondant birthday cake celebrated everything masculine. From fondant mustaches to little fondant ties, this cake screamed “Happy Birthday Little Man!”

The “main” birthday cake featured an edible one topper (adorned with a little blue tie), mustaches, and the little man’s name. Do you notice the shape of the one? =)

The fondant smash cake, a smaller version of the main cake, included buttercream decorations to make the smashing more “enjoyable.”
