At Dream Day Cakes®, we love creating unique cakes for any occasion. Every now and then, we receive the opportunity to create unique wedding cakes — take for example a recent wedding here in Gainesville, Florida. The bride had us recreate a Japanese style paper lantern in cake. =)

Paper Lantern Cake

This cake featured the bride and groom’s name in Japanese letters, sugar bamboo, sugar flowers, a custom message, and a paper lantern.

We love when everything on the cake can be made edible. The framing, the flowers, the letters… this cake was a completely edible centerpiece.

The cake was delivered to Plantation Hall here in Gainesville, Florida. Keith Watson Productions had transformed the venue into something simply incredible.
