US Marine Corps Cake

The perfect groom’s cake for a US Marine? How about a replica of the US Marine Corps Dress Blues Cover… in cake. The US Marine Corps cake featured all the details for our enlisted groom, including an island on the Cap EGA Eagle Globe Anchor.

We know the US Marine Corps drills detail and perfection into their ranks. Each Marine takes pride in their appearance and the pressure on Yeni was incredible.

Look at the shine on that brim. I think even the Gunny from Full Metal Jacket would be proud of that cap.

Enlisted Eagle Globe Anchor

We learned a great bit of trivia working on this US Marine Corps cake. On the enlisted Eagle Globe Anchor there is an island on the globe — on an officer’s pin, there is no island. Little details like this keep us up at night.

Yeni really tried to get the stitching, the fabric, and the accessories all “just right” to honor the commitment of this Marine.

The Cap EGA (Eagle Globe Anchor), cover screwposts, and brim  — actually every part of this cake was completely edible (and yummy).

We were honored to create this cake, and very thankful to this groom for his service to our country. We loved paying special attention to the details knowing that this Marine would be sure to notice! Although we baked this cake fresh in our Gainesville bakery, it travelled north to Lake City for the wedding.

Thank you for reading and letting us share this cake with you.

Thank you so much for creating the awesome Marine Hat for my son’s groom cake. It was unbelievable and looked so real, many people thought it was his hat sitting on the table. LOL. You did a fabulous job and the details on this cake were not missed by my son or another Marine (a Sgt) that was one of his groomsmen. A lot of people wanted to know who made it and I spread the word about your bakery. It was also very delicious. I’m so glad you took on this challenging cake and you far exceeded my expectations. You are a true artist. Thank You.
