At Dream Day Cakes, we love our clients. This year, one of our favorite clients celebrated a birthday with an incredible Alice in Wonderland themed party. We were honored to provide this Wonderland Birthday Cake.
Or should we say Unbirthday Cake…
For this cake, Yeni looked to one of her favorite Cake Artist’s and tried to capture her inner Courtney. You see, Chef Courtney Clark with Cake Nouveau is an incredible artist and her Alice / Wonderland themed cakes are nothing short of exquisite.
Yeni used Courtney’s past cakes and the birthday girl’s love of Alice in Wonderland (the newest movie) as inspiration for this birthday cake.
Vibrant colors and a whimsical theme were a must for this cake, as well as incorporating many elements important to the unbirthday girl.
The top of the cake focused on the Mad Hatter, complete with edible hat cake. Details included the brim of the cake, a scarf, and tea cups seated upon a draping blue tablecloth. All elements of this cake were completely edible.
Underneath the tablecloth appeared (if even for a moment) the Cheshire cat…
Edible playing cards, vibrant colors, and details of the theme were all incorporated into the cake. The bottom tier sat a lovely mushroom.
The board for the cake used a black and white checkerboard pattern to keep with the theme, as well as providing the backdrop for details such as an edible pocket watch, leaves, Alice, “eat me” treats, and Absolem.
Adding to some of the fun were additional treats — such as Tiramisu Macaroons shaped as tea cups and mini-cupcakes with themed toppers.
At Dream Day Cakes, we love helping to celebrate life’s events. Watching our clients grow older and helping to share with unique celebrations brings a joy you cannot imagine.
We loved working on this cake, and more importantly, sharing this Wonderland Birthday Cake (or unbirthday cake) with an amazing family. Every celebration deserves Dream Day Cakes.
